Work with me

I write weekly newsletters for founders and practitioners in food and health who know more than they have time to write down.

Most newsletters in health and wellness are written by someone who has read about the subject rather than practised it. You can tell. The advice is correct and weightless. It could have been assembled by anyone, about anything, and usually was.

If you run a practice or a food and wellness brand, you have the opposite problem. You know the material in your hands. You have watched it work on some people and not others, and you know why. You have too many ideas. What you want is someone to sit with you for an hour a week and turn your brain into writing you can send.

That gap is the thing I write into.

How I Work

One newsletter a week, in your voice. You give me a short call, or a voice note, or five lines of scrawl, whichever is the most feasible that week. Then, I give shape and form to your thoughts. I do the drafting and the editing.

  • No listicles, no protocol roundups, nothing that opens with five signs your gut is inflamed.
  • No AI slop. Every newsletter is written by hand, with your thoughts and voice.
  • No overselling. If a claim will not hold, I will say so before it goes out under your name.

Why me

I write The Second Helping, an essay newsletter about food, body and culture.

I cook and eat with very little chilli, gluten or lactose. Not by choice. My stomach made that decision for me, and working around it is what sent me to Ayurveda, which I now study alongside gut health nutrition. Which is a slow way of saying I am not new to the subject.
